Strong & Water Tight
Our premium quality specification includes:
The shed roof is subject to the most weathering and has to take the weight of the chosen roofing material, so we take special care to make sure that it is structurally strong and weather tight.
The main roof rafters are C24 grade treated and regularised KD carcassing timber (the same strength and quality as used in house construction) and are either 75mm x 50mm on the Tool Tidy or 100mm x 50mm on the Garden Shed. The roof is covered with 18mm marine plywood, a breathable weatherproof membrane and then a final roofing material on the outside that is normally either cedar shingles or a manufactured alternative to natural slate. We can offer other materials as a bespoke option but this may be subject to an increase in the price. We do recommend fitting guttering and we can offer a price for this should you wish.
